The Tasmanian Rugby Union will send a Senior Men’s 15s team to contest the 2018 Minor States Championship to be contested in Adelaide from 20th – 24th September.
We are now accepting player nominations for this team, as well as looking to appoint team staff (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager and Physio/Sports Trainer).
All team staff tour costs will be covered but this is a voluntary role.
They will have to take time off work to attend the tournament.
The Tasmanian Rugby Union has a formal agreement with the Melbourne Rebels and their affiliated teams (Melbourne Rising NRC, Rebels U20, Rebels Junior Gold Cup, etc) and this tournament will be a pathway for selection from Tasmania into these teams moving forward.
This creates a clear and exciting pathway for our players into Super Rugby and National level teams.
