Tasmanian skipper TJ Pieters has hinted at a few tricks for the side's final Australian Rugby Shield clash after two tough outings in Brisbane.

Backing up from their earlier 25-8 loss to South Australia, the Jack Jumpers suffered losses to NSW Country (14-60) and Perth Gold (5-61) but never gave up with Jone Chand, James Holman and Peni Vai all scoring tries to the delight of a pro-Tassie crowd at Ballymore.

“It’s a great opportunity and a great privilege for us to be here and represent our state – each game is about growing and playing together as a team,” Pieters said.

“We don’t get opposition like this back home so it’s tough but we’re getting better and we’re looking forward to our final game.

“These teams all play at a fast tempo so we’ve got to work on dealing with that defensively, but we’ve got our plan for Monday.

"We’ve rested a few players to get ready and we’ll have a few things up our sleeve.”

Tasmania round out their Australian Rugby Shield campaign against QLD Suburban at 9am Monday morning (livestream available via rugby.com.au and Rugby Xplorer).
