Tasmanian Rugby Appoints Women’s Development Lead
Tasmanian Rugby Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Robb as Women’s Development Lead, commencing 19 January.
The role has been established following the recent Club Capability & Competition Framework Review, which identified the need for a dedicated focus on strengthening women’s and girls’ participation, retention, and leadership pathways across the state.
Christine will work closely with clubs and community partners to support sustainable women’s and girls’ programs, improve development pathways, and assist clubs to build long-term capability.
Tasmanian Rugby Union General Manager Jeff Quick said the appointment reflects a clear commitment to implementing the review’s recommendations.
“The review highlighted that sustainable growth in the women’s game requires dedicated leadership and consistent support for clubs. Christine’s role is about turning strategy into action and ensuring clubs have the tools and guidance they need to grow women’s and girls’ rugby with confidence.”
Christine brings a strong background in rugby and community sport delivery and will begin engaging with clubs as part of planning for the 2026 season.
