Devonport are into the TRU Men's top four for the first time this season following a 54-16 win over Hobart Harlequins at Don Recreation Oval.

The Bulls were clinical on home soil to record a fourth consecutive victory in 2024 and leapfrog Quins on the ladder.

Fullback Jamie Tanti was influential with two tries while Bulls stalwarts Ilisoni Tavalagi, Oliver Crawford, Reuben Heagney and James Donald also crossed the chalk in a eight-try rout that featured two penalty tries.

Michael Frost was the visitors' sole try scorer, scoring with 10 minutes remaining.

Meanwhile Launceston 1 and Launceston 2 recorded bonus point wins on the road, defeating University (104-5) and Eastern Suburbs (32-17) respectively with Kyle Lombard (five tries) the standout Tiger.

The results see Launceston 1 remain unbeaten atop the TRU Men's ladder with Launceston 2 leapfrogging Burnie into seventh.

Earlier, Hobart Lions and Taroona played out a gritty local derby at Rugby Park with the Penguins leading 17-7 before the game was called due to a injury.
